Home visits

At A. B. Optics, we've spent the last ten years looking after the vision and eye health of thousands of people. However, it's not always easy to visit an optician, which is why we've created our ‘eye tests at home’ service.

If you live in the West Midlands, and are housebound, you can now benefit from a thorough, professional eye test in the comfort of your own home whether that is a private residence, nursing or residential care home.

You choose an appointment time to suit you and we carry out the test with our specialist portable equipment. After the test there will be time for you to ask questions, discuss the results and to choose new glasses if required

It is essential to get your eyes tested regularly to ensure you keep living life to the full. The test checks more than your vision and can identify other conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol as well as eye problems such as glaucoma, cataracts and ARMD.

In the vast majority of cases, the NHS will pay for the test so contact us to book your eye test at home today.
